YOU CAN HAVE AN IMPACT!!! Please join Kristen and I in supporting Best Buddies!
My daughter Kristen became involved with Best Buddies in 2006 and is currently Buddy Director at her high school. I am passionate for the Best Buddies cause as I have witnessed firsthand the impact this program has on the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through Best Buddies, Kristen has not only developed several friendships, but also learned social skills which will be important for interacting in a work environment. As Buddy Director, Kristen has had a number of public speaking opportunities which has helped build confidence and self-esteem.
With the help of Best Buddies, hundreds of thousands of people like Kristen have successfully moved from segregation and desolation to a new acceptance in their family and community. In turn, Best Buddies has created a new spirit of public service for thousands of middle school, high school, college, citizen and e-Buddies volunteers that will last a lifetime.
I look forward to biking 100 miles for this tremendous cause.
